Susan Meers Wells, MS, RN, CANS
Susan Wells manages the staff and activities of Wells Plastic Surgery & Skin Care's non-surgical program including Wells Sculptra Center of Excellence. Susan also provides many of our non-surgical and injectable services. She is known for her detailed assessment of a client’s lifestyle and medical history to determine their skin care goals and to develop a customized multi-disciplinary plan of care. Susan is currently a trainer for Galderma.
Susan brings to the table experience and training available in very few skin care facilities. Holding a Masters Degree as a Plastic Surgical Clinical Specialist from the University of Missouri-Columbia, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Susan was the first Nurse Injector in Central Kentucky and one of the first Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialists in the country, participating in the think tank that wrote the national CANS certification requirements and test.
Susan is often the go-to industry expert on skincare. She has been quoted in ‘W', featured in the Herald Leader, has speaks internationally on organizational nursing, skin care and injectables. She has been published in peer review journals on nursing management, research and skin care.
Susan is the past President of the National Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists and is Co-Chair of the Aesthetic Societies' Annual Symposium on Skin Care in Plastic Surgery Practices. She has held faculty positions at three different colleges, and was named Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing.
Susan enjoys working on community projects and has served on the Board of the Lexington Ballet, Family Care Center, Fayette County Medical Auxiliary, and the UK College of Nursing Alumni Association, and most recently was President of The Blue Grass Charity Ball, Inc.
Dee Montgomery, Practice Administrator
Dee is Wells Practice Administrator and Surgical Coordinator for Dr. Henry Wells and Dr. Sara Soni-Kalma. She will be your contact for questions about surgery pricing and logistics, and to schedule your surgery after your consultation with Dr. Soni-Kalma. She can also help you navigate issues and answer questions about financing through CareCredit, Alpheon and PatientFi.
Dee developed and manages Wells Online Store and oversees the day-to-day activities of our staff, skin care program and office. Dee lives in Lexington and has worked in both the medical and interior design fields.
Megan McFarland, MSN, APRN-CNP, FNP-C
Megan McFarland is an accredited Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and injector for Wells Skin Care. Megan has a background in women's and men's health, plastic surgery, and non-surgical elective procedures in the Medspa environment. As an aesthetic injector, Megan is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best by providing an individualized and evidence-based approach to achieving naturally beautiful results in a safe and comfortable setting. She also works with Dr. Sara Soni-Kalma performing Genius RadioFrequncy Microneedling procedures. Because of her experience and plastic surgery nursing background, Megan also assists Dr. Soni-Kalma in the OR.
Megan serves as faculty of the Kentucky Association of Aesthetic Providers (KAMAP). She is an active member of national organizations, including the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses (ISPAN), the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board (PSNCB), and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Missy Lesaux, RN
Missy is Dr. Henry Wells and Dr. Sara Soni-Kalma's Surgical Nurse and has over 20 years experience in the operating room. Missy will be the person who coordinates your surgery and meets with you throughout your surgical experience from pre-op to follow-up appointments. She will be your go-to for any questions or concerns along the way. Missy also performs laser procedures for our ReFresh Club Members and skin care clients.
Away from the office, Missy spends time with her family on their farm and enjoys a grand baby and fur babies.
Ashley Kohari, DNP, Â APRN, FNP-C
Ashley Kohari is the newest addition to our expanding injectable team. Ashley is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, trained at the University of Kentucky, and comes to us with years of practical experience. She has worked in the Medical Aesthetics field as well as patient and perioperative care in hospital and urgent care settings. Her aesthetics specialties include injecting dermal filler and neuromodulators, laser treatments, microneedling, pharmaceutical weight loss, and more. Her aesthetic history has been collaborative and based on developing a complete and holistic plan of care for each patient, which mirrors the Wells treatment philosophy. A perfect fit for Team Wells.
Rachel Hamilton, Aesthetician
Rachel Hamilton was one of the first Aestheticians in Kentucky, has practiced in medical grade skin care and treatments for 23 years, and is well recognized in the industry. Early in her career, she worked alongside Dermatologist Dr. Joseph Bark, and helped develop one of the first medical Skin Care centers in the region. Rachel is skilled and experienced in many state-of-the-art skin care devices including lasers, and she provides Genius Radiofrequency Microneedling treatments along with Dr. Sara Soni-Kalma.
Rachel believes in building long term relationships with her patients. She is passionate about providing excellent patient care by working within her patient's lifestyle, goals and resources to deliver the most beneficial and effective plan of care. Rachel's treatments are practiced, thorough, rejuvenating, and will help transform your skin.
Lisa Combs, Aesthetican
Lisa Combs is one of the premier Master Aestheticians in the region, with over 25 years of Skin Care experience. Her thorough skin care consultations will map a clear, customized plan of care for the best results for your skin, including the use of medical grade skin care products.
Lisa spearheaded the Wells ReFresh Club, which is a monthly regimen of skin care treatments to rejuvenate your skin. Lisa also performs Genius RadioFrequency Microneedling treatments under the program lead by plastic surgeon Dr. Sara Soni-Kalma. At home, Lisa is an avid gardener, and her blooming backyard is the envy of everyone.
